Born to Nigerian immigrant parents, Dr. Mitchell's upbringing instilled in her the values of resilience, empathy, and hard work. Growing up amidst diverse cultures across three continents - the UK, US, and the Caribbean - she developed a profound understanding of the human experience and a keen awareness of the societal challenges facing marginalized communities.
Driven by a deep-seated commitment to helping others, Dr. Mitchell pursued a career in medicine, dedicating over a decade to serving as a first point of contact for individuals struggling with their mental health. My Story

The decision to write "The Soul Sucking, Energy Draining Life Of A Physician" stemmed from a deeply personal journey of struggle, resilience, and self-discovery. As a physician, Dr. Tomi Mitchell had dedicated her life to caring for others, often at the expense of her own well-being. The demands of the medical profession, coupled with systemic issues within healthcare, took a
toll on her mental, emotional, and physical health.

The turning point came during a traumatic experience following the birth of her second child, where Dr. Mitchell found herself fighting for her own life and that of her newborn daughter. The harrowing ordeal exposed the shortcomings of the medical system and forced her to confront the harsh realities of burnout and neglect within her profession.

Determined to create meaningful change, Dr. Mitchell embarked on a journey of healing and self-reflection. Through introspection and a deep exploration of holistic wellness practices, she found a renewed sense of purpose and clarity.
